Rent a boat in the Algarve: TIGER 620 RIB

If you want to rent a boat in the Algarve, this Tiger 620 rigid inflatable boat might be just what you’re looking for.

Our Tiger 620 PL is our barebones boat that allows you to have 12 people on the water for the same price as our Jeanneau Cap Camarats that are only set up for 7 people.

We recommend this Tiger 620PL if you’re looking for an easy to maneuver, beginner option for groups of up to 12 people. This fun motorboat is powered with a more than ample Suzuki 115HP outboard engine.

Our RIB has a bimini sun cover to provide you with shade. We also provide an icebox to keep your drinks cold.

If you have little experience, or rarely navigate on the water, the TIGER takes the stress away with no need to worry about scratches or small bumps on the rigid inflatable structure.

As Portimão Marina is found with nearby attractions to the East and West, it is an ideal location from which to discover the turquoise waters and empty beaches hidden within the fragile and beautiful sandstone cliffs of Portugal.

By renting your own boat, you can discover at your own pace and be only be surrounded by friends and loved ones.

Around the region of Portimão, you can visit lovely towns like Ferragudo and Carvoeiro. You should also not miss out on the world-famous Benagil caves and stone arches of Marinha Beach and lesser known Albandeira.

If you prefer, you can cruise towards the “End of the World” – Sagres. This historic town is located at the most Southwestern point of Continental Europe.

Around the area of Lagos, you’ll be impressed by the amazing grottos and caves of Ponta da Piedade that invite you for a refreshing swim.

Inclusions

This motorboat is our most basic rental with a shade cover for the skipper and aft bench seating, and safety equipment for coastal navigation. We will give you an area and motorboat briefing before you start so you know exactly where to go during your motorboat day rental in the Algarve.

An icebox is available if you have brought your own food and drinks and there is a store nearby where you can buy ice and snacks for your charter.

Duration

The usual motorboat rental period is from 10am to 5pm including briefing time. If you would like to start 30 min earlier or arrive later, this is possible at an extra cost of 50 Euros. You can rent a boat in the Algarve for 1 day, 3 days or even a week. If you’re looking for another duration, we’re happy to present budgets for your needs.

Meeting point

The check-in point for this motor boat rental in the Algarve is at our Portiate Charters office at Marina de Portimão. However, we can also meet you at other areas in the Algarve, like Alvor or Lagos, at your convenience.

Restrictions

If renting without a skipper, you must show a valid boating licence and matching identification.

This boat has not been adapted to be wheelchair accessible.

Bareboat or Skippered

Do you want to rent a boat in the Algarve with or without a skipper? To rent a boat without a skipper, you need a valid boating license for the type of boat being chartered and waters navigated. A valid identification such as a Passport or National ID Card must also be presented.

If you’re hiring a bareboat, you will receive a full briefing on where you can navigate and about the boat itself (systems and equipment). Of course, we’ll share all of the best spots for anchoring and must-see landmarks. We’ll also tell you about potential hazards and the wind and wave conditions, etc…

If you decide you prefer to rent the boat with a skipper, you’ll be accompanied by one of our skippers who’ll take care of driving the boat and will safely guide you to the landmarks you’d like to see. In that case, we suggest you check out our day trips..

Booking & Cancelation

To book one of our motor boat rentals in the Algarve we ask for a 50% down payment. This can be done either by bank transfer or via Paypal. The final payment can be done on the day of your rental at our office at the Marina de Portimão. We accept cash, credit, or debit card.

Don’t forget that motor boat rentals in the Algarve require a security deposit (500 Euro) which can be paid in cash or card. This deposit will be returned at the end of the charter, in full, as long as the boat and all equipment on it are returned in the same conditions that they were in when taken.

Regarding our cancelation policy for the motor boat rentals, if you would like to cancel the booking up to one month before the rental date, the booking fee will be returned minus 50 Euro. For cancelations within one month of the rental, the booking fee will not be returned. However, cancelations due to governmental travel bans or restrictions will be refunded in full (i.e.: Covid-19 restrictions).
